  The wait at 6p on a Friday was a little long....but...
  We were able to get a beer and hang.
  The rotating UnTapped menu is full of surprises and in a good way.
  The food...oh my god...Was nothing I expected from a "taproom."
  The duck was on point.
  The hot chicken...Was flavorful through and through.
  Excellent limited menu and worth it.

  Great selection of beer! A business any town needs. Effective and friendly staff. Food was delicious. They don't do substitions though so be prepared to not be picky. I had the chicken and waffles. Chicken was moist, and waffles were perfect. The side of hashbrowns were amazing in my opinion! Definitely a place to check out.

  Great craft-beer selection. Good prices on them too! Friendly staff. Top notch food. Although the wait time is a bit longer, it is certainly all worth it. Keep on truckin' y'all!

  My wife and I recently moved from Tulsa to Amarillo and were so excited to see something like Imperial Taproom open up in the Amarillo area. There is a lot to like about the taproom: the excellent rotating selection of beer on tap, the food is great, and the atmosphere is overall enjoyable. However, we have been twice now (once on a Thursday during dinner service) when there was live music and, for the relatively small size of the restaurant, the volume of the music was overwhelming and really didn't allow for any conversation. Even our waitress had to yell at us to understand our order. These two experiences have taken a generally enjoyable ambience and made is difficult to justify the cost of our meal, the hour long wait to be seated, and the proceeding 30 minute wait just for our appetizer. In addition to the music, there have been other occasions when we have been on Thursday-Saturday evening where there has been well over an hour long wait to be seated and the restaurant does not take dinner reservations. You take a gamble any time you go on a weekend. Finally, the waitstaff seems to be completely overwhelmed and unable to keep up with the volume of customers. Our waitress - on a Thursday night - was gone from our table for 30 minute stretches trying to keep up with her section. Again, we love the concept of this restaurant and want to see it succeed! I hope to see some of these issues resolved as the management and staff work together to make Imperial a place where customers can have an excellent all around experience.
